The Evaluation of the AFNS AWARD Photo Contest Rounds

The judging of our international photography contest takes place on a regular, ongoing monthly basis. Submissions from our active participants will be thoroughly evaluated by an international expert jury specializing in high-end portraiture, maternity, and newborn photography.

Outstanding images will be announced as official winners of the photo award, granted our prestigious badges, and proudly published in our permanent photo contest winners gallery as well as on our official social media channels. Your artistry deserves expert recognition. Use your monthly credits for continuous validation in our premium photography contest.

Official Rules and Terms of Participation in the Photography Contest

Participation in the ongoing AFNS AWARD rounds is managed strictly online via www.afns-award.com and is exclusively available to registered Members. Active members can seamlessly submit their high-end digital image files directly through our dedicated photo contest portal. Submissions must be uploaded within the open window of each respective monthly photography contest round.

GENERAL RULES OF THE PHOTO CONTEST

The AFNS AWARD competition rounds run continuously throughout the calendar year. All submissions to the photography contest must be fully uploaded before the closing date of the respective monthly evaluation round to be considered for the photo award by the jury.

PARTICIPANTS & CATEGORIES

The AFNS PHOTO AWARD welcomes dedicated artists specializing in newborn photography, pregnancy and maternity portraiture, baby/sitter photography, and fine-art childhood portraiture. Both established professionals and aspiring talent are eligible to enter this photography contest. All participants must be at least 18 years of age.

The active photography contest is divided into our core categories: Newborns, Pregnancy, Sitter, Children, Protected, Siblings, Motherhood, Fatherhood, Family Photography, Breastfeeding, Cakesmash, and Maternity with Partner.

EXECUTION & PROCESSING IN THE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

Members can submit images according to their specific tier and available monthly submission credits. Every digital master file must be uploaded via our internal online photo contest form in high-quality JPG format.

The Photo Contest Process is Simple:

1. Log in to your secure AFNS Member Area.

2. Select your available monthly credits for the current photo award round.

3. Upload your digital master files to the photography contest.

Once submitted, your entries are locked in for the upcoming jury evaluation. You will receive an automated confirmation email containing all details.

JURY ASSESSMENT & PHOTO AWARD DISTRIBUTION

The evaluation consists of a multi-stage quality check. First, technical requirements (file size, guidelines) are verified. In the second step, our expert jury reviews the entries based on creativity, original idea, composition, lighting, and overall technical implementation. Selected winners of the photo award will be officially published in our global Photo Contest Winners Gallery at www.afns-award.com and featured across our official Facebook and Instagram networks.

CONDITIONS OF SUBMISSION

Image uploads are accepted exclusively through the official internal photo contest form. The uploaded file will be securely archived along with the user registration data, studio name, and submission date. By submitting to the photography contest, members agree to the use of their data solely for the purposes of managing and publicizing the photo award results.

To ensure peak platform performance, submitted digital images should ideally feature 2048 pixels on the longest side and be saved at 150 dpi for a rapid upload experience. Files can be color-managed in sRGB, Adobe-1998, or B/W.

COPYRIGHT & THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS

The submitting photographer guarantees that they hold full and unrestricted copyrights and exploitation rights for every submitted image. The work must be free of third-party claims, and no privacy rights of the depicted individuals may be infringed. If minors or families are displayed in the family photography or newborn categories, explicit parental/client consent for international publication must be secured by the photographer. Members agree to indemnify the organizers from any third-party claims regarding copyright or privacy infringements in this photo award.

CONTENT GUIDELINES

Submitted artwork must adhere to professional ethical standards. Images that contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content will be strictly disqualified from the photography contest. The organizer reserves the right to remove any image from the photo award platform without prior notice or giving reasons.

TERMINATION & LIABILITY

The management reserves the right to pause or terminate a specific evaluation round of the photography contest due to technical complications (e.g., severe server errors, software glitches, cyber-attacks) or critical legal reasons. The organization accepts no liability for accidental data loss or compression damage to submitted digital files.

DATA PROTECTION

Active participation in the photo award requires acceptance of our modern data privacy policy. Members retain the right to revoke data storage consent at any time by contacting admin@newbornphotographercommunity.com, which will result in the removal of their active directory listing.
